Krakatau or Krakatoa is the name of island that prior to 1883 contained 3 old volcanic cones: Rakata(2700 ft) Danan (1460 ft) and Perbutan (400 ft). The island was 5 milles and 1 miles wide. In 1952, it reached 200 feet above the sea, It was named "Anak Krakatau". it is now over 600 feet tall spouting fire and cinder and it is still active, this like moon like landscape. It is lonely volcanic island in the middle of the sea.
